Character Building Books: My Young Child

9 February 2010 One Comment

Here is another resource for parents! My Young Child has a growing collection of online stories (you can read them online or print them) discussing different character traits that we would love to see our children model. Some of the books we have read together are: “Silly Lilly Remembers her Manners” and “Gilbert the Goat Learns Respect”. I thought these books were perfect for my one and 2 year olds. They are short and the pictures tell the story. I could ask Z what he thought was happening in the picture and he would get pretty close to the story-line (he loved being right). If you are unable to go to the Library and are looking for new reading material, be sure to check My Young Child out! You’ll have an online library!

This is such a neat idea! I only recently taught my three-year-old to use the mouse on the computer, so I am going to go here right now and try this out! Thank you so much!
