1. Use binoculars and find birds
2. Make a bird feeder
3. Collect feathers
4. Make an artwork with feathers
5. Feed ducks at a local pond
6. Compare the bones of a chicken and a cow.  Which is heavier?  Which is smaller?  Why is one lighter and smaller?
7. Take two papertowels.  Spread shortening on one.  Then pour water over the towels?  Discuss how feathers protect birds against water and the elements.
